July Property Update

Welcome to your monthly property market update. This year so far, has been exceptional for us here at Pattinson Estate Agency and Pattinson Auction!

The property market in the North East is in fact moving and for us, and has shown no sign of slowing down. As with the previous months, we saw a huge surge in listings and sales, in June, compared to the same time last year, although consistent with May this year. The momentum has carried forward, with increases in property transactions across our branch network in the North East. In addition to this, our national auction facility has experienced a record-breaking few months in some areas of the UK. There is a lot of buyer confidence, and in most instances, properties are selling quickly. 

Over the last 7 months, we have acquired three North East based estate agencies, taking our branch network to 30. We recently publicly announced that we are actively seeking to acquire more estate agencies and other industry-related businesses. It is therefore an extremely exciting time for us as a growing and successful business, and we look forward to seeing what the remainder of the year brings. We have been fortunate to recruit some incredible staff members across all areas of the company, and as we continue to grow, we are continuously on the lookout for talent to recruit.

Regarding rental properties, we still have a 'supply and demand' imbalance, as we have a substantial database of tenants waiting to rent, and unfortunately a shortage of properties coming on to the market for them to rent.
