Property Market Remains Active Despite Economic Uncertainty

Here at Pattinson Estate Agency and Pattinson Auction, we are delighted to report that the property market is still strong, and despite the turbulent economy, we are seeing a steady flow of people wanting to buy and sell properties. In fact, this year, we have sold more homes than any other estate agent in the North East, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team of property experts. Our clients have continued to put their trust in us to help guide them through what many think is an uncertain property market.  

It must also be noted that the North East has seen a surge in people looking to move to the region, perhaps due to its offering of a more relaxed lifestyle, and a slightly reduced population than other areas of the country. 

The rental market, however, is a bit of a mixed bag, as we have seen a decrease in the number of rental properties available, however this has not prevented us from helping landlords find tenants for their properties. We always strive to help our clients make the most of their property investments, regardless of market conditions. Some landlords are making the tough decision not to rent out their properties, and instead are opting to sell them. This is largely due to the fact that properties needing an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) will soon need to reach a certain standard, and some landlords are not willing to make the necessary changes to meet this requirement.
