We are proud to announce its sponsorship of a bespoke Peter Rabbit sculpture as part of the vibrant public Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne art trail in Newcastle and North Tyneside, in aid of St Oswald’s Hospice. Running from Wednesday 15th July to Monday 14th September 2026. This unique event will see Newcastle’s parks, streets and public spaces filled with beautifully designed Peter Rabbit sculptures, each bringing colour, conversation and a touch of mischief to the city!

Visitors can follow the trail using a dedicated map and app, unlocking rewards and fun facts along the way. Local schools and community groups will also create their own mini-Peter Rabbit sculptures, showcased across Newcastle as part of an inspiring education and creativity programme.

At the end of the trail, the large sculptures will be auctioned to raise funds for St Oswald’s Hospice, supporting their vital work with North East families facing life-limiting conditions.

The Tales on the Tyne trail aims to bring to life over 40 individually-designed Peter Rabbit sculptures across public spaces, streets, and parks, created by local artists in collaboration with Wild in Art, the World of Peter Rabbit, and hosted by St Oswald’s Hospice.

By sponsoring a sculpture, we are helping to raise vital funds for adults and children with life‐limiting conditions who rely on hospice care, while also contributing to the cultural vibrancy, tourism, and community wellbeing across the region.

Our Pattinson Director, Caroline Pattinson is thrilled to be able to be part of such a worthy cause, “St Oswalds is a charity which has supported a number our staff and clients and provides an excellent level of care. We have supported the charity for a number of years, and when there was an opportunity to buy a ‘Shaun the Sheep’ at auction we jumped at the chance, and he provides a fantastic talking point in his home in the reception of our head office! not only putting a smile on people's faces of visitors, but helping to raise awareness of the charity. We are delighted to be supporting the Peter Rabbit Trail, he is a much loved character and the previous trails have encouraged families to visit the North East and to visit new places to spot the fantastically decorated characters. We can't wait to see the design of our Peter Rabbit and visit him when he is on display. Hopefully the new trail will again raise a large amount of donations which are much needed to allow St Oswalds Hospice to carry on doing it's fantastic work.”

In addition to the main trail of full-size sculptures, there will be a learning programme for schools and children’s groups, smaller Peter Rabbit sculptures forming a second, city-wide trail, and a charity auction at the end to raise further funds for St Oswald’s.

For us, this sponsorship reflects long-standing support for St Oswald’s Hospice, both through prior involvement and direct community engagement. As an estate agency, we believe in more than simply providing property services, but in helping invest in the social fabric of the North East, supporting vulnerable people, and enriching community life through art and culture.

Danielle Harvey, Fundraising Manager at St Oswald’s Hospice said, ‘Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne promises to be one of the most talked-about events of 2026 and we can't wait for them to scamper across the streets, parks and public buildings of Newcastle and North Tyneside next summer. The event is raising vital funds for St Oswald’s Hospice and is our fourth public art trail, with businesses sponsoring the sculptures, which are individually designed by artists, before they are later sold at auction. We are delighted to welcome Pattinson to the trail, as a sponsor of one of Peter Rabbit sculptures. Sponsorship is vital to these trails, as it means that even more of the money raised throughout can support the work of the hospice, with local children, adults and their families. Thank you to Pattinson and our other sculpture sponsors for getting involved. We do still have sponsorship opportunities available, visit www.talesonthetyne.co.uk/sponsors for more information.’
