On the 4th of July 1977, our Founder and Chairman, Keith Pattinson opened the doors of what is now the North East’s largest leading independent estate agency, Pattinson Estate Agency.
That day marked the beginning of a proud tradition rooted in the North East, built on independence, local knowledge, and a genuine commitment to serving our communities with integrity and care.
The date wasn’t just symbolic, it was foundational. Just as the 4th of July marks freedom and self-determination across the Atlantic, it has also come to embody our brand values of local independence, strong community roots, and the freedom to serve our customers with genuine care, honesty, and flexibility.
Since that first day 48 years ago, we've grown from a single office to a leading estate agency with 30 branches spanning across the region, helping thousands of people buy, sell, and rent their homes.
At Pattinson, we consistently sell more properties than any other estate agency in the North East. Our independence has always been at the heart of who we are, always putting our clients first, and this anniversary is a moment to say thank you: to our loyal customers, hardworking team, and vibrant communities across the North East.
As we celebrate this special milestone, we want to thank everyone who’s been part of our journey - our fantastic clients; sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants and our dedicated staff, of over 300 property professionals, as well as the communities that support us every day.
