Changing Lives

Last year we set up a £150,000 endowment fund with the Community Foundation and in July we made 10 donations of £500 to charities across the North East, ranging from Berwick to Teeside. The majority of the projects which we support help those affected by homelessness  and we aim to support smaller charities which sometimes struggle to get funding. 

One of the charities we supported was Changing Lives and this money was used to provide welcome packs to people in hostels.   They have launched a Reverse Advent Calendar Christmas campaign and I think it is a fantastic idea. Their aim is to ensure that every person has a present on Christmas Day.   They have told us that they are struggling to get presents for men so if we could try to provide these it would be a great help.  You don't even have to spend money, if you have any gifts left from last Christmas (I know I do) then these can be given.
