BIDDERS STILL SCORING A BARGAIN AT WORLD CUP AUCTIONS

THE WORLD Cup
9December

THE WORLD Cup was a month of highs and lows, and our June auctions were no different.

From a £9,000 garage in central Newcastle to a farmstead sold for £415,000 at our North West auction, we’ve had a varied month with bidder numbers remaining positive, unlike the England score!

Nearly £4m of properties was sold in June across the Pattinson National Auctions in Newcastle, Preston and Doncaster.

As recent figures show auctions are increasing in popularity, mainly due to the slowdown of traditional house buying from the Mortgage Market Review.

Figures from the EIG for January to May 2014 show that percentage of properties sold at auction are up by 0.4% to 76.6% of listed properties sold at auction but amount raised at auction has grown significantly by 11.7% on last year, showing the market is moving upwards and great prices can be achieved.

Here at Pattinson National Auctions we’ve witnessed the same upward curve, with our North West auction recently going monthly instead of bi-monthly due to demand, and new auctions planned for the East Midlands area soon.
