A word from our Auction Director

7May

As we approach week seven of lockdown, despite the challenges, we continue to experience a high level of activity within our Auction Department. We've seen some fantastic achievements with properties selling from £3,000 for a room in Manchester to £567,000 for a two-bedroom apartment in London. Auction sales in the North East increased in April in comparison to the previous year.

Our sales team have welcomed a continuous flow of property enquiries, and have also been dealing with increased levels of viewing requests during these difficult times.  Given the current government guidelines, we are unable to allow customers to inspect the properties physically. However, we are once again putting technology to the test and are working closely with our vendors to provide video tours for as many properties as possible, so that buyers can still view remotely.

Coupled with our ability to provide free legal packs to sellers (which allow buyers to undertake due care and diligence before bidding) and in turn,  enabling us to facilitate a legal exchange of contracts. The measures we have in place have proven immensely popular and are reflected in the number of sales we have achieved. We have even continued to effectively manage the listing of many properties remotely, all over the UK. Again by working with our sellers to provide details and video tours of their homes for buyers to access.

Once again, auction has proved to be the most successful way of selling your property regardless of the market conditions. With May underway there have already been success stories with our online auctions.

We continue to have online auctions every single day, so if you are interested in buying or selling, then we would like to hear from you.

Stay safe!
