A word from our Auction Director...

15April

The current pandemic of Covid19 has not stopped Pattinson Auction selling property. We had a live auction scheduled to go ahead at the end of March, but with technology, our staff and clients safety at the forefront of our mind, we transferred all stock into our online bidding platform. The up-to-the-minute computer system used to control our auctions and high-tech telephone systems has enabled us to get all staff working from home.

We have generated sales for sellers from far and wide, one seller even while living in Australia managed to secure a sale on their property in the North East within hours of going live. Other successes have included a property in Rowlands Gill, Tyne and Wear with a starting price of £280,000 eventually selling for £312,000 via online auction.

At the other end of the scale, a property in Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne with a starting price of £20,000 achieved £56,500. Further south to Manchester and a property with a starting price of £160,000 sold through the online auction for £187,000 with the buyer exchanging contracts immediately. In this instance, the vendor had the added benefit of selling with no estate agency fees to pay, along with the security of the deposit from their buyer.

I am delighted with the valiant efforts from all staff that have enabled us to continue business as usual. It goes to show how strong a team we have and how supportive they are to the company. We have been able to offer a full service during this unprecedented time to all of our clients.

If you are thinking about selling or have a property currently on the market, then we are here to help. We can list property remotely as well as facilitating virtual viewings for buyers, ensuring your safety and that we adhere to social distancing measures set by the Government.

Stay safe!
