Charity Work

Charities

Pattinsons are pleased to support a range of charities and where possible we aim to help local charities and causes which are important to our staff and clients. Support ranges from donations to active fundraising and initiatives such as toy collections at Christmas, staff coffee mornings and other events.

To mark our 40th Anniversary we chose to work with the Community Foundation to create a £100,000 fund which would be able to offer a longterm approach to charitable giving, the individual charities which are supported by the fund will change over the upcoming years however the primary focus is homeless charities and groups.  The fund was 50% match funded taking the total initial Keith Pattinson Endowment fund to £150,000 to support North East charities.

We have been delighted to support the work of the Evening Chronicle Sunshine Fund not only in attending events but taking part in the Sunshine 5km, in 2015 we are proud to say we entered the biggest team, with over forty members of staff taking part and raising money for a fantastic charity.

In 2014 following some fantastic support given to a member of staff whose baby was born prematurely we supported Tiny Lives at Newcastle's RVI, with money raised from our family fun day being donated and matched by company donations.

In 2013 Keith Pattinson chose to support a number of charities including the Maggies Cancer Centre at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle and Grace House Children's Hospice in Sunderland.

In 2012 in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Care we raised a fantastic £14,000 through branch coffee mornings and a donation from the Pattinsons for every property which was listed on the market in a fixed period.

In 2011 following Val Pattinson's diagnosis of breast cancer we raised over £30,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer through a variety of events. (We are pleased to report that 5 years on Val has the all clear)

Where staff members are actively involved in charity we aim to support and encourage them.
