Homeworker Keri Flying High
Keri Mcmullen from Washington has been a Home Worker for Pattinson for
the last 9 months and has proved an excellent addition to the Pattinson
Home Working team. Her success has meant she has been able to use some of
her commissions to pay for her first ever family holiday complete with
spending money for the whole family, and is also looking to buy a larger home with the money she has coming in from being a Home Worker.
Keri says: "It all started when browsing Pattinson's website looking for
houses and I came across the home working jobs.
"Until this point I had been a full time wife and mum having given up my
career as a travel agent 9 years ago to start a family, but there is
only so much housework a girl can do! When my last child started school
I began getting itchy feet and was keen to get back to work. The problem
being finding something that worked around the family, as I wanted to
continue being with my children after school and helping with their
homework etc. I didn't want to start sending the children to child
minders or after school clubs. After an initial fruitless search for a
suitable job, I was beginning to think it didn't exist, until I came
across the Pattinson Home Worker opportunity.
"I immediately applied via the website and quickly received a telephone
call from an existing home worker who talked me through the whole
process of how to become a home worker and how easy it was to fit in
around your family life - even the training was available at times to
suit my schedule!
"As the day came for me to go along to the Newcastle Branch for my induction I
remember being a bag full of nerves! Never having done anything like
this for 9 years it felt a little daunting. My initial uncertainty
quickly evaporated when I met Sarah Meakin [Head of Pattinson
Home Working] and the rest of the people there for training and looked
forward to the rest of the training.
"While I was going through my training I was popping into my local
branch familiarizing myself with what went on behind the scenes, going
to the customer care centre in order to gain a better understanding of
Pattinson's industry leading computer system as well as going out with
branch valuers on appointments. I loved having the opportunity to watch
the "pro's" at work as I was picking up lots of hints and tips for when
my training was finished and I was ready to carry out valuations myself.
"The day I finished my training was fantastic, I got the children off to
school and was ready to go! I sold my first house that first week and I haven't stopped since!
"I have now worked for Pattinson's for 9 months and have been promoted to
team leader which involves mentoring a group of Home Workers. I work about 12 hours a week on my own sales and was the top seller for the whole company last month!"
