Convenience Is The Key

The team at the Pattinson customer contact centre has more than doubled in size because of increasing demand for an out-of-hours service.

The centre is currently staffed between 8am and 8pm Monday to Saturday and between 10am and 6pm on Sundays. Manager Steve Ingham is now considering further expansion into new premises as more and more of the region's homebuyers take advantage of the convenient opening hours.

Steve explains: "We have seen a rapid increase in demand for the customer contact centre's extended service. Figures from our first six months show a peak in activity during evenings and weekends and we're now taking around 700 calls a day.

"Our busiest time is often 6.30pm on weeknights as it's when we speak to people who've seen a sale board on the commute home or prefer to talk at their leisure instead of squeezing in a call at the office. We often agree sales on a Sunday afternoon when other agents are closed and regularly book viewings for the weekend on a Friday night.

"It can be so frustrating for people who work full time if they can't get the information they need at a time to suit them. Now, using the website www.pattinson.co.uk, customers can access property information 24 hours a day and can speak to a Pattinson agent when they return from work or on weekends."
