What is a survey?
A survey will check the house you are buying for any serious
problems.
A survey could save you money by identifying problems before
you buy.
A survey will let you know that you are paying a fair price.
Are there different types of surveys available?
We offer two different types of survey, a Homebuyers Survey
and a Building Survey.
The Homebuyers Survey
The general condition of the property.
Significant and urgent factors likely to affect materially
the valuation of the property.
The valuation of the property.
The estimated reinstatement cost for insurance purposes.
A Homebuyers survey is suitable for conventional houses,
flats, bungalows, etc in apparently reasonable condition.
The Building Survey
This is a more detailed and comprehensive report suited to
any property and likely to be needed if the property is in a bad state of
repair, of unusual construction or previously been extensively altered,
converted or extended. The Building Survey provides a more detailed
and comprehensive report providing an assessment on the condition/construction
of the property and technical advice on problems and on remedial works.
